Meet the Summer Shine On Champion from Ryan Homes

It’s that time of the season again where we get to announce our next Shine On Champion! We are returning to our regular Shine Champ programming after switching it up this spring to recognize many of the heroes in our community who have really shined during the challenges of COVID-19.
If you are just joining us now, you might be wondering what exactly is a Shine On Champion? Each quarter, our Builder Services team dedicates a Shine On Champion award to someone we work with who exemplifies our core values. We are excited to pick back up with this tradition and introduce our Summer 2020 Shine On Champion, Kevin Foutz of Ryan Homes!
What Makes Kevin a Shine On Champ?
Kevin was nominated by our Lead Building Performance Technician, Emil De Jong. Here’s what Emil had to say about Kevin:
Seek Solutions
Kevin is organized and his neighborhoods show he is on top of his work. His job sites are always ready for us per Schedule Pro making working with him a pleasant experience. Despite the many competitive nominations this season, Kevin stands out for his responsiveness with all necessary communication and his higher performing homes as a result.
At Southern Energy Management we have a set of core values that we base our work around. When we nominate people we work with for the Shine On Champion Award, we look for how that person demonstrates our core values. I do not know Kevin very well, especially off the job site, but the one core value I see him demonstrating everytime I see him is “Seek Solutions”.
When issues are identified and communicated to Kevin he is immediately on the phone ensuring a prompt fix. When needed, Kevin is seen working directly with his trades helping them through the steps needed for fixing the problem as well as explaining plan sets and why the corrections are important. All of this is done in a calm, collected, and professional manner which leads to high performing homes that stand out from the rest. The entire Charlotte team appreciates working with Kevin and we hope we have the pleasure for the foreseeable future.
