Solar Panels for Churches, Temples, Synagogues, and Mosques

By permanently reducing your utility bills through solar savings, you can direct more of your congregation’s funds toward your church’s mission. Going solar is also a great way for congregations to reduce their environmental impact while setting a lasting example of caring for your community.

Why Solar for Places of Worship?

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes! If your campus has Duke Progress or Duke Carolinas as their provider you can qualify for their non-profit solar rebate program.

We also offer several financing options ranging from cash purchases to long-term leasing. Our solar designers will walk you through all the choices to find a custom fit for your situation.

Currently, there is a one time solar rebate available to homes, businesses, and nonprofits serviced by Duke Energy in North Carolina. The Duke Energy solar rebate began in 2017 and will continue through 2022. The solar rebate is worth up to $75,000 for non-profits!

When combined with the new 30% Direct Pay Reimbursement, nonprofits have a unique opportunity to tap into up to 60% savings on the cost of their solar system.

Learn more about the Rebate here & download the Rebate Guide!

There are many options for where solar can be installed on your temple, mosque, church, or other worship facility. Rooftop solar installations are most common, however we can also design a custom system if roof space is not available. Other common installation options include a ground mounted system or parking lot canopies.

The best way to determine what will work for your facility is for one of our team members to complete a site and energy evaluation. This will give us a better picture of how much solar you will need and what installation options will support your congregation’s energy goals.
