We are excited to introduce our Spring 2021 Shine On Champion! If you are just joining us now, you might be wondering what exactly is a Shine On Champion? Each quarter, our Builder Services team dedicates a Shine On Champion award to someone we work with who exemplifies our core values — Seek Solutions, “Have to” shifts to “Get to”, Invest in the Greater Good, Never Settle, and Enjoy the Journey.
We are excited to continue with this tradition and introduce our Spring 2021 Shine On Champion, Mark Watson of New Leaf Builders! For the past 2 years, we’ve been proud to partner with New Leaf Builders to verify their homes are built to more efficient standards under the ecoSelect program.
What Makes Mark a Shine On Champ?
Mark was nominated by our Building Performance Technician, Richard Bohlen. Here’s what Richard had to say about Mark:
Never Settle
We have been working with Mark for over a year now. He has shown genuine interest in not just how he builds his houses, but also why each house he builds may perform differently than another. He is always making sure his trades are doing their best job every time as well. He even has enlisted Southern Energy to help design, spec, and eventually rate the home he is building for his parents.
Out of all the builders I work with in Charleston, Mark is definitely the most invested in bettering his craft and always striving to improve his process, all while enjoying the ride along the way.
