Home Innovation Research Labs has released its 2018 Partners of Excellence and Southern Energy Management (SEM) is excited to be named a Rater of Excellence!
Each year, Home Innovation Labs awards NGBS Green Partners who demonstrate “outstanding contributions to advancing green building in their communities and commitment to voluntary, market-driven, third-party certification of high-performance homes” with this honor. Representing both single and multi-family energy rating and sustainability services, working with NGBS helps ensure more homes are certified as high performance, reducing the world’s carbon output and saving real money at the same time.
SEM is proud to have 19 NGBS Green verifiers, three of which are NGBS Green Accredited Verifiers and two are Master Verifiers. Rachel, one of our Master Verifiers, was also named a Verifier Partner of Excellence. In total, Rachel has certified 6% of all NGBS multifamily units. Laurie, our Multifamily Program Director was also honored as an NGBS Partner of Excellence Advocate. Of the 125,000+ apartments receiving NGBS Certification, SEM has rated 11,294 of those as the #1 all-time Multifamily NGBS Rater for completed ratings. That’s 10.5% of all NGBS Multifamily ratings nationwide!
We’re even more proud to have 24 builder, developer, and architectural partners join us as Partners of Excellence. Of the 119 entities recognized, SEM and its partners comprise over 20% of the 2018 NGBS Top Partners! We have worked with 50+ unique home builders with NGBS, certifying 2,400+ Single Family Homes. Briar Chapel, is a 100% certified NGBS community, with more than 1,100 homes certified to date.
