We are so excited to celebrate with Southern Energy Management’s co-founder and visionary, Maria Kingery, as she receives the Lifetime Achievement Award by the North Carolina Sustainable Energy Association(NCSEA).
Since she began her career in sustainable energy, Maria has always envisioned changing the world for the better. Her ambitious goals to initiate change and impact the way people make and use energy have been achieved time and time again. On Thursday October 10, 2019 Maria was recognized at the NCSEA Gala for her continued dedication and commitment to North Carolina’s clean energy future.
Staying true to her core beliefs while seeking to positively impact her local and global community, Maria is a well known visionary within the many circles she is involved in. Her many past and present positions within the sustainability realm include: Board Member & former President of North Carolina League of Conservation Voters, Board Chair of Amicus Solar Cooperative, Board Chair, officer, and member of the NCSEA, and B Local Triangle growth committee, to name a few. Thanks to Maria’s generous support, the Women in Clean Energy project — which allows women across North Carolina to network, engage, and encourage one another — was also made possible.
Maria’s high standing within the global energy discussion is a testament to her perseverance and unwavering support on the quest for a cleaner, and brighter tomorrow. We are so proud to follow the leadership and dedication of Maria, and look forward to the many great achievements she has yet to accomplish!
