Meet the Fall Shine On Champion from H&H Homes

It’s that season again where we get to announce our next Shine On Champion! If you are just joining us now, you might be wondering what exactly is a Shine On Champion? Each quarter, our Builder Services team dedicates a Shine On Champion award to someone we work with who exemplifies our core values — Seek Solutions, “Have to” shifts to “Get to”, Invest in the Greater Good, Never Settle, and Enjoy the Journey.
We are excited to continue with this tradition and introduce our Fall 2020 Shine On Champion, James Acker of H&H Homes! Since 2010, we’ve been proud to partner with H&H Homes to verify their homes are built to more efficient standards under the ecoSelect program.
What Makes James a Shine On Champ?
James was nominated by our Building Performance Technician, Robert Johnson. Here’s what Robert had to say about James:
Never Settle
The builder I have found to be the most engaged and easiest to work with is James Acker of H&H Homes. I began working in Majestic Oaks at River Haven about the same time last year that James did. There were multiple homes that were not meeting expectations for a variety of reasons. James made sure these corrections were made quickly. I could tell then that James was on board with our core values and understood the benefit of our service.
Since then, James has been moved from neighborhood to neighborhood, traveling between SC and NC. Every neighborhood has improved significantly after James takes over. When there were issues with a certain model, James called us in to complete a rough inspection, even though H&H does not traditionally request a rough. James walked through the home with me to really understand what needed to be improved. He makes my job a lot easier by scheduling on time, always being ready, and is on point with communication. James goes above and beyond!
