Southern Energy Management Invites NC Builders to Learn About Solar Energy and Meet Special Guest Steve Thomas at the 2007 21st Century Building Expo in Charlotte
MORRISVILLE – Southern Energy Management (SEM) is pleased to invite the North Carolina building community to visit its booth at the 21st Century Building Expo & Conference on Sept. 12 – 14 at the Charlotte Convention Center. Special guest Steve Thomas will be at the booth to talk with expo guests and sign autographs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 13.
SEM and our valued partners, Enerworks, GroSolar and Gridpoint, will be on-hand to answer questions about energy efficient design and construction, solar power and renewable technology. The booth will also feature examples of roof-mounted solar thermal and solar photovoltaic systems, energy back-up appliances, and more.
Steve Thomas celebrated his final year as host of television’s most popular home improvement series, This Old House, during the 2002-2003 television series. Over the course of his 13 years as host, he became known as the “ultimate home enthusiast” and helped catapult This Old House to the top of PBS’s list of mostwatched ongoing series of all time. Steve was honored with a 1997-1998 Daytime Emmy Award and a total of nine nominations for “Outstanding Service Show Host.”
An “expert in demand” on television shows such as Oprah!, Today, CNN, Entertainment Tonight, and Good Morning America, Steve has authored best-selling books This Old House Kitchens and This Old House Bathrooms, published by Little, Brown and Company in 1992 and 1993.
Steve is the current host and co-producer of the Save Our History series on The History Channel. He also consults on residential building and renovation for clients all over the United States, and is preparing to build a green, energy-efficient cottage on the coast of Maine.
