SEM team members attended the NC USGBC Chapter’s Green Gala 2014 on Friday, September 26, representing two of our builder clients who were finalists for the single family green project of the year category “Talking Walls”. Cimarron and New Phire Building Corp represented two of the three finalists in this category! Although the final award went to a student project, we are proud to be part of builder teams that are changing the face of new construction.
We were also excited to be in attendance to support John Marshal Custom Homes of Davidson, NC and Our Towns Habitat, finalists in the Neighborhood Development Category, as well as Charlotte Housing Authority, finalist in the Nonprofit category.
Extra congratulations to Our Towns Habitat for Humanity for winning the Green Neighborhood Development award for their community Burke Crossings, currently under construction in Mooresville NC! When complete, all 25 homes in the community will be both System Vision and LEED for Homes Silver certified, the first fully green certified community in Mooresville, NC.
