MORRISVILLE – Bob and Maria Kingery, co-founders of Southern Energy Management, have been named among the Top 50 Entrepreneurs in the Triangle by Business Leader magazine. Business Leader honored Bob, Maria and others in a ceremony on February 26 in Raleigh, and they will be featured in the magazine’s March 2010 issue.
Bob and Maria started Southern Energy Management, now a leading energy efficiency & solar power company in the Southeast, in their living room in 2001 to help make sustainable energy a reality for residents, home builders and businesses across North Carolina. Today, the company has grown to 55 team members working from offices in Morrisville, Charlotte and Greenville, South Carolina.
“We wouldn’t be here doing what we love every day without the awesome team that has joined us to work toward our mission,” said Bob, who currently serves as the company’s director of operations. “We’re also grateful for our clients and partners who have contributed to SEM’s success and the growth of North Carolina’s sustainable energy industry as a whole. It has been a lot of hard work and a great ride so far, and we believe with more hard work the best is still ahead for all of us.”
Business Leader has recognized the Triangle’s most prominent business leaders as the “Top 50 Entrepreneurs” since 1996.
