SEM's sign at their new office in Raleigh

Southern Energy Management Has A New Home!

We are excited to announce that Southern Energy Management has found a new location to call home! After years of hard work and dedication from our awesome team and endless support from our SEM Tribe, we are extremely proud to move to a place we now own. Our new address is just around the corner from our old spot. You can find us at 5908 Triangle Drive, Raleigh, NC 27617. (Our telephone numbers and email addresses are all still the same.)

The move from Kitty Hawk Drive was bittersweet as we packed away our treasures and fond memories, but space was getting tight as our company (and pet population) continued to grow. We excitedly look to the future of expanding into a space we can really make our own and we can’t wait for you to visit!

Living Our Mission

As building scientists and solar professionals, we’re passionate about improving the way people make and use energy – and we believe that should include us! Our list of “to-dos” is getting longer each day as we figure out how to make the space we work and spend time together in embody our business and core values. You might have guessed, some key “must haves” on our wish list include achieving a green certification for our building and installing our own solar system. We couldn’t think of a better team to make it happen!

Location, Location, Location

A few other perks of our new place include our new neighbors! We are now minutes from Umstead State Park, which has spurred the need for bike racks and an office shower stall (now on our wish list). If you haven’t heard about our partnership with Umstead Coalition to bring solar to Umstead State Park, you should check out the GoFundMe to learn more and donate!

For those who know us at SEM, you’ll also know that the local craft beer scene is our scene. When we found out the location of the new office, Gizmo Brewworks immediately became the navigational landmark of choice. Lucky for us, we are only 81 steps away!

We hope you won’t be a stranger and will stop by and celebrate with us as we establish our new home. Be on the lookout for an office-warming party invitation once the dust settles!
