If you live in the triangle area, you have probably been to Umstead State Park. It has trails for biking or running, fishing locations and much more. There are also multiple camping sites available in the park. Umstead State Park has always been a platform for environmental awareness and a conversation starter about natural and green energy.
Now, Umstead State Park is going to put their principles to action, beginning a plan to conserve energy by using solar panels to power the state park. You can read about that fundraiser, and the project more, here.
