How does it work?
The computer comes programmed with your specific power companies Time of Use calendar. After your Energy consultant sets your on peak demand limit (kW) by month and the system is installed and connected to your major electrical loads you are ready to start saving.
Throughout the day your system monitors your energy loads. As you turn on electrical equipment your demand rises. All appliances cycle on and off throughout the day. Your Energy Management System keeps them from all cycling on at once. You do not use less electricity. It is just spread out evenly. When you start to approach your peak demand limit, your Energy Management Computer automatically turns off major electrical loads for short periods of time, although you will notice no interruption of service whatsoever. Then, once your demand falls, your Energy Management Computer restores full power to all electrical loads.
